How much relationship evidence is enough?
There is no magic number of documents - what counts is whether your evidence, taken together, paints a convincing picture of a genuine and stable relationship over time. Immigration New Zealand is looking for quality and consistency across different areas of your life, not just a thick pile of paper.
Strong applications usually show several types of evidence: that you live together (shared tenancy or mortgage, joint bills, mail to the same address), that you share your lives financially (joint accounts, shared expenses), and that others recognise your relationship (photos over time, messages, statements from family and friends). Evidence spread across a longer period is far more persuasive than a lot of documents from a single month.
A good way to think about it is building a timeline that tells the story of your relationship from the start. If you are not sure whether your evidence is strong enough or where the gaps are, MyLaw can review it before you apply.
